Salt Flat Stitches — Shipping Policy

Salt Flat Stitches produces made-to-order textile goods and does not hold finished inventory. Production times and shipping estimates below reflect that model.

Production lead time: most orders are produced and ready to ship within 2 weeks from the date payment is confirmed. (If you need faster production, contact us before ordering.)
Orders placed with expedited production (if offered) will be noted at checkout and may incur an extra fee.

Domestic: We ship via USPS, UPS, or FedEx depending on the selected service and package size.
International: We use major couriers (FedEx, UPS, DHL, or similar) for international deliveries and may offer both standard and express options. Carrier selection depends on destination and service chosen.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination, weight, and selected service.
For international orders, import duties, taxes, and customs fees are the responsibility of the recipient unless otherwise stated at checkout.
If the carrier returns a parcel due to unpaid duties, the customer will be responsible for additional shipping charges and any customs/return fees.

You will receive an order confirmation email after purchase and a shipping confirmation with tracking information when your order ships.
Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking info to update after you receive the shipping confirmation.

Some shipments may require a signature on delivery. If you opt to waive signature, the package will be left at the carrier’s discretion and Salt Flat Stitches is not responsible for packages lost or stolen after carrier confirmation of delivery.
If a package is returned to us because of an incorrect address or failed delivery attempts, additional shipping and handling charges will apply to resend the item.

Inspect your order upon receipt. If your item arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from the product description or approved proof, contact us within 7 calendar days of delivery with photos and your order number so we can review and resolve the issue.
For items damaged in transit, we will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion once the claim is reviewed. We may request the return of the item and will provide return instructions.
If tracking shows delivered but you did not receive the package, contact us within 7 days so we can open an investigation with the carrier.

Items labeled as pre-order will include an estimated ship date at product page and checkout.
Because products are made to order, cancellations are permitted only within 24 hours of purchase if production has not started. Once production begins, cancellations are not accepted. (You may request an alteration after delivery; see our Returns & Refunds policy for details.)

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. If you need to change the address, contact us immediately; we will attempt to update the shipment if production has not yet started or the package has not yet been handed to the carrier, but cannot guarantee changes after shipping.

We include basic carrier liability for lost/damaged packages. If you would like additional insurance, select that option at checkout (if available) or contact us prior to shipping; extra charges may apply.

Recipients are responsible for knowing and complying with local import rules and regulations. Some countries may prohibit certain textile products or require additional documentation; Salt Flat Stitches is not responsible for customs delays or confiscation.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version posted on our website applies to orders placed after the effective date.
